Suffer the Little Children Podcast - Episode 106: Brooklyn & Lorenzo Velasquez (Part 2)

Episode 106: Brooklyn & Lorenzo Velasquez (Part 2)

In the last episode, I told you the story of two-year-old Lorenzo Velasquez and his nine-month-old sister, Brooklyn, whose mother, Brittany, left them in a hot car all day while she worked a twelve-hour shift. When she returned home, Brittany found her children dead in the car, and she was charged in their murder, later accepting a plea deal in exchange for a twenty-year prison sentence.

In this episode, you’ll hear my conversation with Brittany’s brother, Vincent Velasquez, who spoke openly and candidly about his younger sister’s mental impairments, his family’s efforts to save her children, and his memories of his tiny nephew and niece.

This is part two of the heartbreaking story of Brooklyn and Lorenzo Velasquez.
